Judith J. Scott

Judith J. Scott is a Distance Education professional with a passion for e-learning. She is currently a Instructional Systems Specialist with a federal agency. She will graduate from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) in April 2020. Her focus in the Distance Education program is Policy and Management. Judith is also an Associate for Talent Development Certified Master Trainer. She received this certification in 2018. Judith plans to continue her growth and development in the field and she plans to further the growth and developmen of other trainers. She also plans to train internationally in the near future.

Judith is a proud New Yorker who has transplanted her life to Montgomery County, Maryland 10 years ago. Her early career began in Journalism when she graduated from at George Washington University. She owned a community newspaper and wrote for several local publications. Judith’s career in the Federal Government began when she was in college. Upon graduation she went to work for several private  companies. In 2011, Judith returned to Federal Service by joining the Department of Homeland Security. This is when her interest in Career Development and Training began. She worked as the Career Development Program Manager for eight years for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Currently, she is a Senior Instructional Systems Specialist responsible for the Train the Trainer program and the monthly Training and Talent Development Cafe webinar. She also provides group and individiual training on Cisco WebEx to employees nationwide.
